Our Mission

European progress requires critical minerals

Europe leads the world in EV adoption, battery manufacturing, steel decarbonization, and the next wave of compute infrastructure — but it depends on imports for the critical minerals that power those industries. Decades of underinvestment in domestic mining created this dependence.

Today's geopolitics demand Europe rebuild its industrial sovereignty, starting with the critical minerals that make the modern economy run. Union Power Metals is restoring European production of the materials that power the next wave of European progress — manganese for batteries and steel, and uranium for the energy of the AI era.

Powering Electrification

EV & Grid Storage Batteries

LMFP and NMC cathodes — the chemistries scaling fastest in EVs and grid storage — contain 60–80% manganese by cathode weight. European demand more than doubles by 2030.

Strengthening Industry

Steel & Manufacturing

Steel — 90% of global manganese demand — is the backbone of European manufacturing. Automakers, shipbuilders and infrastructure builders need supply that doesn't cross hostile borders.

Scaling Compute

Uranium for the AI Era

AI data centers need 24/7 emissions-free baseload power. Nuclear is the only proven source — and it runs on uranium. Union Power Metals holds ~2,414 km² of uranium exploration licenses in Botswana's Karoo Basin (UA92) to feed the next generation of reactors.

Securing Sovereignty

EU Critical Raw Materials Act

The CRMA mandates 10% domestic extraction and 40% domestic processing of strategic minerals by 2030. Both manganese and uranium are on the strategic list. Slovakia holds the largest known historic manganese resources in the EU.

Europe imports over 95% of its high-purity manganese and depends on foreign suppliers for nearly all its uranium.
We are fixing that.

By restoring European production of critical minerals, we accelerate the continent's energy transition, strengthen its industrial base, and rebuild the supply-chain sovereignty that the next era of European progress depends on.
