Why Union Power Metals

EU Support

Manganese designated strategic under the EU Critical Raw Materials Act — mandating 10% domestic extraction by 2030 with fast-track permitting for Strategic Projects.

Proven Resource

24.3 Mt combined historic manganese resource across Svabovce and Michalova — potentially the largest manganese package in the EU, at 12%+ average grade.

Strong Track Record

Led by the former CEO of Uranium One Group (200 Mlb U₃O₈ built), J.P. Morgan alumni, and a 30-year P.Geo as Qualified Person. Proven deal and discovery history.

Strategic Partner

Eric Sprott participated in and led the January 2026 financing — a strong institutional endorsement of the Union Power Metals thesis. Tight capital structure aligned for long-term value.

The Investment Case

Six Reasons Our Timing Is Right

A critical-minerals company uniquely positioned at the intersection of EU policy urgency, surging EV demand, and a world-class geological package.

01 · EU Policy Tailwind

Strategic Under the EU CRMA

EU Critical Raw Materials Act mandates 10% domestic extraction and 40% domestic processing of manganese by 2030. Streamlined 27-month permitting for Strategic Projects.

02 · Largest EU Package

24.3 Mt Historic Resource

Potentially the largest manganese resource package in the EU — higher grade than peers, with significant expansion upside. Europe currently produces zero domestic manganese.

03 · World-Class Team

Proven Mining & Capital Markets Leadership

Led by Derrick Dao (CEO, J.P. Morgan alum) and Andrey Shutov (President & COO, former CEO of Uranium One Group — built a 200+ Mlb U₃O₈ resource base). Backed by a 30-year P.Geo Qualified Person and senior advisors from Traxys and Cunico Resources.

04 · Demand & Location

At the Heart of EV Europe

LMFP batteries contain 60–80% manganese by cathode weight. Slovakia produces more cars per capita than any country — VW-Porsche, Volvo-Northvolt, and InoBat within 240 km.

05 · Sprott-Led Backing

Eric Sprott Financing

Eric Sprott invested in and led the January 2026 $6M financing, acquiring ~12.8% of the Company. Tight 72.6M share capital structure aligned with long-term value creation.

Work Program

Development Roadmap

Union Power Metals is in the early stages of advancing both Slovakia licences. The work program below represents our current planning intentions — specific activities and timing remain subject to review.

January 2026 ✓ Completed
Acquisition of Svabovce & Michalova Licences
Formal acquisition of both exploration licences in Slovakia — Svabovce (30.52 km²) and Michalova (14.99 km²) — establishing Union Power Metals as the licence holder for both deposits and initiating the regulatory compliance and technical review process.
Q2 2026 Planned
Confirmatory Drilling at Michalova
Confirmatory drilling program at Michalova to verify historic resource grades and begin systematic evaluation of the near-surface oxide ore and deeper carbonate seam. Likely to commence Q2 2026.
H2 2026 Planned
Metallurgical Testing & Resource Drilling
Metallurgical testwork to characterise the carbonate ore processing response for both deposits, alongside ongoing resource definition drilling. Program design will be informed by results from earlier confirmatory work.
Late 2026–2027 Planned
NI 43-101 Resource Estimate & Economic Scoping
Preparation of a NI 43-101 compliant technical report and resource estimate for the Slovakia manganese assets, followed by internal economic scoping work to evaluate development pathways.
